Trend Micro Office Fit Out
A Full-Floor Technology Workplace Designed For Openness, Performance & Wellbeing
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia / Technology & Cybersecurity / 14,000 sq ft / 20 Weeks

Creating a regional workplace for a global cybersecurity leader
Trend Micro required a full-floor office environment in Riyadh that could support the needs of a leading global cybersecurity company.
The 14,000 sq ft workspace needed to combine functionality, openness, and workplace comfort while reflecting the company’s forward-thinking technology identity. The brief called for a modern office that could support daily operations, collaboration, client-facing meetings, training, technical support, and leadership spaces within one cohesive workplace environment.
The objective was to create a space that felt fresh, open, and energising – a workplace that supports productivity and wellbeing while maintaining a strong corporate presence.

Understanding the workspace before developing the design
The project began with a consult and design process focused on understanding Trend Micro’s operational requirements, team structure, working style, and brand expectations.
As a technology and cybersecurity organisation, the workplace needed to feel efficient, reliable, and future-ready. At the same time, the design had to create a warmer and more human environment through thoughtful materials, greenery, natural textures, and carefully planned social spaces.
The planning process focused on maximising the full-floor layout, improving circulation, and creating a clear relationship between different workplace zones, including open office areas, boardrooms, meeting rooms, training spaces, technical support rooms, reception, breakout areas, and leadership environments.

A workplace shaped around openness and balance
The design direction focused on creating a contemporary office environment that balances openness with privacy, and modern detailing with natural warmth.
A carefully selected palette of wood, black, white, blue, and green tones helped create a workplace that feels professional, calm, and visually connected. Wooden furniture and natural finishes bring warmth and elegance into the office, while the contrasting black and white details create a more contemporary corporate feel. Blue and green accents add freshness and calm, supporting a workplace atmosphere linked to focus, creativity, and wellbeing.
The ceiling strategy also played an important role in shaping the experience of the space. Some areas were designed with closed ceilings to create a more intimate and controlled environment, while others were left open to provide a lighter, more spacious feel across the office.

Managing the build with technical coordination and control
The Trend Micro Riyadh office was delivered through a structured design and build process, with careful coordination across planning, procurement, construction, technical requirements, and site supervision.
With a full-floor workspace of almost 14,000 sq ft, the project required close attention to programme management, spatial coordination, finishes, ceiling details, and the relationship between different office functions.
OFD managed the key stages of design coordination, contractor management, material procurement, scheduling, quality control, and on-site delivery to ensure the completed office reflected the approved design intent and met the operational requirements of the client.

The new space
The completed Trend Micro office delivers a stylish, functional, and wellbeing-focused workplace for a global technology brand.
The integration of greenery, wooden furniture, considered colours, and varied ceiling treatments creates a workplace that feels both modern and comfortable. The final space supports creativity, productivity, collaboration, and a stronger sense of workplace wellbeing.
From reception and meeting rooms to training spaces, open work areas, technical support rooms, boardrooms, breakout areas, and executive zones, the office now provides Trend Micro with a complete workplace environment designed around performance, flexibility, and user experience.
